3. To shed blood or to be covered by the blood

Empty Words

The traveler and Cain were in church listening to a sermon. The pastor was preaching about surrender. Many were very impressed with the sermon. Towards the end of the meeting traveler turned to a verse in his Bible and read it quietly. Isa 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. After the meeting the pastor talked to traveler: You have criticized me before. Now what do you say? I say that when you don’t follow the words that you preach then they are empty. It says in 1 Cor 13:1 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.” I am a very loving person. I am a pastor. Traveler: Jesus said: If you love me keep my Commandments. You preach about surrendering the life to Christ. His will is for us to keep His Commandments. This you do not do. He who is forgiven much loves much but he who is forgiven little loves little. Luk 7:47 Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.

Shedding Blood

Traveler and the pastor were standing by the seventh board. It was full. At the bottom it said that the only valid reason for divorce is fornication. There was a woman there. She had a cup in her hand. She wanted to write on the board, but since it was full she erased the words at the bottom. She dipped her finger in the cup and wrote with her finger. She wrote: Be married to only one person at a time. Traveler looked at the words she had written. He was totally aghast. He was pale, like he was sick. He backed away. The words were written in blood. As the woman rose she lost her balance. The cup tipped and blood flew everywhere: on her, on the pastor, who stood next to her, on the board, the wall, and the floor. Everywhere she walked and everything she touched was covered in blood. The pastor was sitting in shock, calculating the cost of a new suit and carpet. Isa 59:3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity Heb 6:6 seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Divorce

Traveler said: church members get divorced without reason and re-marry, and you say this is fine, disregarding God’s law. A woman divorces her husband, and defrauds him through the courts, and you say this is fine, disregarding God’s law. She tells her children they may disregard the Commandment to honor their father, if they so choose. Thereby they make themselves gods and you make yourself a god by supporting them in this. The laws of men you regard more highly than God’s law, which you trample under foot. You have much blood on your hands. People in the church are: “disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Rom 1:30-32.

Idolatry

You call yourselves Christians, but Christians are like Christ. You are pagans, not worshipping the God of heaven but other gods of your own choosing. Jdg 17:6 In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes. Isa 1:2-3 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me. The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider. Isa 1:12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? Isa 1:15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Isa 1:16-17a Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well. Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
